PLEASE READ CAREFULLY BEFORE ARRIVAL

Thank you for booking with Trotternish B&B. Please be assured that in these difficult times we are making every effort to minimise the risks associated with Covid 19 and to ensure that we still offer excellent accommodation and service in as safe a way as possible and within guidelines set out by regulatory bodies.

We want all of our Guests to have a comfortable stay, enjoy a tasty home cooked breakfast all with minimal risk. The layout of our B&B is such that Guests can arrive, enjoy breakfast in our socially distanced Breakfast Room and leave with virtually no contact necessary with others (brave new world !)

Some changes to how we operate are now necessary and are listed below. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any further concerns or suggestions.

Prior to your arrival “Track & Trace” information will be requested

CHECK IN

We will personally meet you on arrival and show you to your room. We will stay 2m apart and please forgive us for not shaking your hand as is customary. We will be wearing a face mask and Guests must also wear a face mask when arriving / leaving and in shared areas of the B&B. Your room keys will be disinfected and will be in a small plastic bag. Hand sanitiser stations are situated at the front door and the in the Breakfast room, please use liberally. If we are checking in another guest when you arrive or the entrance is busy, please remain in your vehicle until asked to come in. Please minimise your luggage as we will be unable to assist as usual.

Payment will be requested via email shortly after your arrival. Where possible this will be taken via the card used to pay your initial deposit. If this method does not suit please let us know in advance and alternative (cash) arrangements can be made.

CLEANING / SERVICING OF ROOMS

Prior to your arrival Guest Bedrooms are cleaned to a very high standard as is our usual practice. Extra measures have now been introduced including :- Fog disinfectant spray of all surfaces including soft furnishings. All items in your room will be disinfected including hair dryers, TV remote controls, table lamps and in fact every item present. Some decorative items will temporarily be removed for the 2021 season (Sorry).

All consumables in the room, shampoo, soaps, teabags and coffee sachets etc will be new and removed if unused between Guests. Some of our luxury rooms have refrigerators, these will be thoroughly disinfected and complimentary bottled water replaced with new items between Guests.

We use a reputable laundry company for our linen and towels and all items are laundered at very high temperatures as per their Covid 19 risk assessment plan.

Due to regulations, we will be unable to fully service every room every day as is our usual policy. If your visit involves more than one night, we will provide a “Quick Servicing” every day however. This will involve replenishing Tea Tray and other consumables as required and emptying bins. If your stay is only for one night, the room will obviously be fully sanitised and ready for the next Guest. Please let us know if you need anything during your stay.

BREAKFAST

We have devised a more extensive “tick box” menu which we ask you to fill in the previous evening by 8pm at the latest. This now includes items previously provided in our Buffet. We have removed the buffet facilities in our large Breakfast Room to create more space and additional ventilation will be utilised. Larger tables are provided to allow more space for your tasty breakfast items and full height Perspex screens are provided for additional safety.

Each room has a dedicated table which, you will use each day for the duration of your visit. No one else will use your table ensuring additional social distancing. Both your host and Cook will wear masks and you can be assured that very high levels of cleanliness and food Hygiene will be adhered to at all times. Please enter a time on your Menu that you would like Breakfast.

Please note the following terms and conditions are in addition to or supersede our normal Terms and Conditions as stated when bookings are made.

If you experience any symptoms of ill health which may suggest exposure to Covid 19 or you are advised that you have been in contact with someone who has Covid 19, we ask that you return home immediately and inform us of the situation. Our Normal Cancellation Policy Applies unless evidence is presented confirming a Covid 19 related cancellation i.e Email from Track & Trace, Positive test result etc. A full refund will be made upon presentation of evidence of any Covid 19 related Cancellation. Trotternish B&B operates a full Covid refund Policy and our decision is final.

If you experience symptoms of Covid 19 whilst staying at Trotternish B&B we ask that you return home as soon as is possible. We may not be able to provide isolation facilities beyond your booking due to commitments to following guests. Your Booking / Arrival at Trotternish B&B constitutes your agreement to the above conditions.

We must reserve the right to cancel any booking at any time prior to arrival for any reason relating to Covid 19. Including any circumstances out with our control eg. Government instructions, local outbreak, lockdowns, travel restrictions etc. In the event that we are forced to cancel any booking in advance of arrival, a full refund of all payments will be made immediately. We sincerely hope this will never be necessary but your arrival at Trotternish B&B constitutes your agreement to the above conditions.

LIABILITY LIMITATION.

Please note that should your booking require to be altered, cancelled or otherwise changed for any reason relating, directly or indirectly to Covid 19 Trotternish B&B will not be held liable for any losses incurred or consequential costs of onward travel or alternative accommodation. Your arrival at Trotternish B&B constitutes your agreement to the above conditions. All Guests use Trotternish B&B and all of its facilities including parking entirely at their own risk.

We strongly advise all guests to arrange travel insurance which, covers all of the above eventualities in the interests of avoiding financial loss or hardship.
